The Government of Gujarat has established Auro University of Hospitality and Management at Surat, (opposite Hazira), Gujarat by enacting an act in the state legislative assembly in pursuant to the powers vested in the legislative assembly as education is in concurrent list wherein bot the state government and the central government are equally empowered to enact laws. The state government considered it necessary to promote and incorporate private universities on self-financed basis under the relevant laws to provide a catalytic boost to higher education in the state so as to provide for qualitative and industry relevant higher education of international standards.

The university has been established in 117 acres state of the art campus which is one of the largest campus in India dedicated to Management and Hospitality Management. The university has been promoted by JHM Hotels, USA as their contribution to CSR i.e. Corporate Social Responsibility activities under the visionary leadership of Mr. H. P. Rama, Chairman and CEO JHM Hotels and Chairman of JHM Group of Companies, owning, operating and managing over 72 star hotels in USA, China and India. IILM organizes a Press Conference
The IILM -CMS -College of Management Studies located at Greater Noida organized a Press Conference. The press conference was addressed by Dr. Anil Sinha and Dr. Kavita Srivastav. The selected students will get the opportunity to work on international voice process. The CSE will get the opportunity to work with the UK based customers in the area of collections whereas the TSO will have the opportunity to work on US based customers in the area of ISP based troubleshooting. Scout and Guide Camp at Mangalmay Institute
